| - This is a really cute shop, with fake cake displays in the window, and really nice people who own it/work there. There's a good variety of cupcake flavors (although I wish they would switch it up every so often), and I like how they look--not TOO fancy, but still artistic and appealing. Also, I know they do wedding cakes/cupcakes, because I saw a couple in there once having a consultation.
I love cupcakes a lot--but you need to know that my favorite icing is the really sugary-sweet kind, like Magnolia Bakery or Buttercup Bake Shop in NY--so I wasn't entirely satisfied with the "sugar pop" in my mouth when I had these cupcakes. However, it's great that it's in the neighborhood, and for that reason I know I can get these anytime I want. The cake is, in my opinion, airy and light, and the icing just right for those who don't want something "too heavy." Plus, anyone who thinks that Cleveland ain't shit will be impressed when you take them there.
My top picks are Apple (though I was surprised by this because this is never my go-to flavor), Lemon, and Carrot (another surprise). Those, to me, had the most complexity of flavor. I was really excited to try the signature (Cookie Monster face), but it fell a little flat.
The individual-sized cheesecakes are actually really good (I had Oreo), and they are big enough for two people to share (or.... for one really hungry person.)
