After seeing these Yelp Reviews. I'm not surprised the experience we had moving in here.
The community and location of these new apartments is impressive. When we toured the community we were sold on the glitz and glamour that we saw but there are some major issues we had through the process that were so disappointing, especially since this was a brand new build.
The staff was nice but we were given incorrect information on the tour and then never received any follow up. We leased on a Sunday night and I had to call them on Wednesday to see if we were approved and what else was needed. I had to ask for all the information after this point and never was given anything. We didn't receive the remaining paperwork of what was needed including how much our move-in would be until two days before our move-in.
On the day of our move we showed up with a uhaul and 2 trucks to unload with movers that we were paying by the hour and nothing was ready for us. We handed over all the needed paperwork to them within 5 minutes of getting there but didn't leave the office for over 45 minutes. They had to program all our remotes and only had 2 or the 3 sets of keys ready for us. out of the keys that were given 2 keys don't work properly.
Once we got into the apartment we found that one breaker wasn't working so we had no electricity in half the apartment. We asked them to sent someone. Maintenance came in and had to open up all the outlets and light switches. After a few hours he was not able to fix the problem and said the office would call out an electrician and call us later that day to tell us when they would be coming. No one called us. Our first night in our new very expensive home and we had no electricity in 2 bedrooms, closets, and the master bathroom. I went to the office on Sunday and they told us that we would have to wait until Monday when an electrician could come out and they would be out Monday morning. We had to take off work to be home since we have animals in our apartment. No one showed up on Monday. No one called us from the office. So one of us took off work on Tuesday to be home and finally an electrician showed up half way through the day. They again had to take apart all the outlets and light switches to find the problem and we final had electricity. Through this entire process NO ONE from the office ever called us at all. What's even more frustrating is that when we toured the apartment before leasing I mentioned to the person that one of the breakers must have been off because the light in the master wasn't coming on. He said they should all be on. The apartment should have been looked at before we moved in.
Overall, there are some issues in our apartment that we were NOT expecting since it's brand new. Many of the doors stick so badly you have to push them from the outside to get them open. One of us was locked in a room because of it. We have two different light fixtures in our kitchen that should match and there are patches in the hallway that were not painted. We haven't even been able to fully unpack because of the lighting issue and inspect the full apartment.
Again the property looks great and the location is fabulous. Amenities are really first class which is why we rented and why we were fine paying the crazy rental price and move-in price. We definitely expected more out of the staff and the condition of the apartment. As new residents we feel pretty neglected. This was by far the worst move we have ever experienced. I'm sure once settled we will like it but I do caution anyone moving here to be prepared for a stressful process from the moment you fill out an application to the days after you move-in and expect no communication from the staff at all. We all understood that things happen that are unpredictable but there was no urgency to fix the issues.
Overall we just expected way better service from a new property that is professionally managed by such a large company. Very disappointed.
