Our final night in Charlotte for this work trip & a coworker had selected Malabar for our team dinner
We started w/ this awesome wine called something like GR-74.....it was a cab blend & perfectly delightful
Ordered a variety of tapas as well as 2 paellas (Veggie & Royal) & we had an abundance of food!
The tapas included the fried potatoes which were crispy on the outside & mushy on the inside - utter potato perfection! Stuffed Chile Relleno w/ pimento cheese - stuffed w/ a mix that was more rice than cheese, we still liked the "deconstructed" pimento cheese just fine. Also got the veggie empanadas & a couple of chicken dishes that the team enjoyed
The Paellas were both yummy - I of course only can speak for the veggie which had corn, carrots, artichoke hearts, peas & peppers - lots & lots of rice
The Royal seemed to be stocked to the brim w/ seafood, short-ribs & other meaty delights - the team liked it a lot
In fact, they liked both paellas a lot & the dinner was hugely fun, there was a good crowd in there, even for our late arrival.....and we got to leave w/ leftovers for the locals of the group. Huge fans!
