| - My wife and I recently saw Zumanity at the NY NY Hotel in Vegas. I had seen the Mystere Cirque du Soleil show a couple years ago and thought it was boring and just weird for the sake of being weird. Even though several of the acts were similar in this show (contortionists, trapeze artists, aerialists, etc.), this show was much more entertaining, sexy, fun, and engaging. Zumanity had more of a coherent theme than Mystere, and it certainly didn't hurt that the performers wore very little clothing. If you have enjoyed other Cirque shows, then you would probably really like this one.
I think the most important thing to know when booking tickets for this show is that seating matters a lot. If you are in the first section, you will have a great view of the stage but there is a very good chance that you will be selected to go on stage or will be incorporated into the show in some way. While most people seemed in the front section seemed excited about this at our show, a few people seemed really embarrassed.
We were in the middle seating area. One drawback of this area is that we could not see some of the aerial work because our view was impeded by the bottom of the balcony. If you opt not to sit in the first section, I would recommend getting balcony tickets so that you can see everything. I would not recommend getting tickets in the middle section.
Overall though, we really enjoyed the show. The acrobatics were phenomenal, the singing was quite good, and the two comedians were hilarious. We would definitely recommend seeing Zumanity.
