| - Just bizarre.
I was passing through town around 5:30pm, and I-77 was shutdown. So I was looking for a place with a happy-hour to grab some food and cheap beer. I saw Locker Room and figured I'd give it a shot. The bartender was very good and prompt. The owner was sitting at the bar, drinking beer. The place was deserted.
I ordered a draft beer, and saw they had 1/2 price wings for happy hour. I ordered them. They were mediocre, bland and tough. No biggie, you take your chances with wings. I ate about 1/2 of them and put the rest in a box for later, had a 2nd beer and asked for the check.
The bill had the wings at full-price. When I questioned it, the bartender said that it was for 'dine-in' only and pointed at the sign. I was confused and said I've been here for an hour-plus and spent $10 on beer.
He said that since I was taking some of the food home, I wasn't "dining in", so he couldn't give me the discount. I tried arguing, but he had a pained look on his face and said the "argument wasn't with me".
I gave up, had him throw away the food and give me the discount. He did so and re-rang up the check.
