1ST THIS COMPANY GETS" 0" RATING SO DISREGARD THE ! STAR YOU HAVE TO CHECK SOMETHING TO POST!!!I recently had to schedule a procedure with one of Meritus contracted facilities.My doctor performing my procedure sent to the facility the PCT codes of what procedures he was going to perform for billing purposes(Prior to my procedure) the facility called me to tell me that I needed to prepay for the procedure 4700 dollars,because i have not met my deductible amount of my plan.I thought the amount for the procedure was extremely high considering I called other facilities outside Meitus group of contracted providers and found that if I had to pay cash my total cost would be a max of $1450.I called Meritus customer service to verify the contracted costs for my procedure with the facility, and no one there could give me the contract negotiated prices for the PCT codes my doctor submitted the facility so I have no way to verify if the amount is correct?If the facility told me I have to prepay this amount who told them what I have to pay? The amount had to come from some place..I called Meritus Customer Service # 3 different times, and spoke with 3 customer service people and even asked to speak with a supervisor or someone beyond their level and they would not give me any other person to speak with.So now I am going to have to pay out of my pocket cash at another facility not in Meritus network in addition to my $500 a month insurance premium Bill to get the procedure done.
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH INSURANCE AS WELL.
