| - So, I have a coupon for a free office visit. I call the girl to schedule my appointment, give her all my information and tell her about the coupon to be sure its good. She says, "Yeah, we take it, come on in!"
Day of my appointment, its at 6:15pm. I arrive promptly at 6pm, early to check-in. They tell me they had an emergency where two dogs bit each other and now they will have to see me later. Fine, no big deal. Mind you, my dog is scared of the vet so he's nervous and anxious. I feel terrible having to wait around with him like this but have no choice.
They see me at 6:40pm. I give the vet tech information about what happened, etc... she says my dog's scrotum is inflamed. She asks history and I mention I was here in 2014...she then says, "oh there's a problem" - explains to me that since I was since previously that I cannot use this coupon. Now, I understand its my fault for not reading the fine print, HOWEVER, I think that it applies to only a specific Banfield not all of them? Either case, why didn't the girl at the counter when she took my information notice I had an account already?
I cannot afford to pay for a doctor's visit BUT the main problem is I have a vet but he's quite a drive from where I live. I figured I'd give Banfield a try...but now they didn't accept my coupon so I did not want to pay for the vet to just tell me "oh I need to run additional tests" etc...and rack up more money when I trust my vet. I was in a predicament because I did not want to pay for a office visit, which I thought was free - otherwise, I would've taken my dog to MY vet.
Short story, she tells me to wait while she checks with her manager - we wait for TEN minutes... for her to come back and tell us they cannot accept the coupon. What a waste of time.
I wasted an hour and half when if I knew, I could've rushed to see my vet!! Air ball move on their part to error on a technicality BUT to make us wait PAST our time - only to not make an exception?
Terrible customer service no care whatsoever...
Please if you need to see a vet go see G.S Sandhu at Christanimal hospital.
