  • Bathurst is probably my most traveled to non interchange station besides Kipling on the Bloor-Danforth line (2). There's a lot of businesses in the area and this is the station I choose to go to the Ex from as opposed to Dundas West (seasonal) or Dufferin (a joke). For past Yelp events alone I can think of 4 events that I've gone to Bathurst for it was the closest or most convenient station to use. While the streetcar (511) goes south and loops at the Ex the bus (7) goes north all the way to Steeles which is a long, long ride through Willowdale right up to the border of Thornhill. Probably my favorite thing of all of Bathurst station is the bakery that is on the concourse. It's tight and while the counter is long it's about the width of 2 people to the glass wall adjacent to the entrance. The long counter lets you see the goodies beneath and I really like the samosas here. It's cool that you can eat on the TTC vehicles as opposed to the CTA in Chicago where you can't eat OR gamble. Bathurst station is an easy access station from street level just don't trip over the tracks. That little green patch of grass where the streetcar turns is actually a dedicated "parkette" to somebody. I can't remember who exactly but it's a patch of grass! Still, a larger patch than most front and back yards of homes in the area with space being so tight and all.
