I have always handled my family's flower needs, for every birthday, funeral, Mother's Day, Wedding, etc. because I'm critical and fastidious. I found myself asking for referrals and travelling all over the city to 'trial' new shops, a 'Goldie Locks and the Three Bears theory', if you will; some offered fabulous customer service but had minimal options, too pricey if they had a large array of options, too busy to accommodate my orders if they met the aforementioned.
TFD has an amazing storefront facing Starbucks on the south/ west corner of Yonge and Florence with parking in the back or on the street. Ask Mo and Pary for any sort of help, these are Majan's children; FABULOUS at what they do!
For instance, a few months back I had a box of 24 glass bowls I was using for centrepieces (my brothers engagement party) and no vision. I was looking to create some sort of arrangement that was simple and elegant, using roses and hydrangeas if possible but had a particular budget. I brought one bowl inside as an example, and within minutes she created a brilliant solution... one white hydrangea with a red rose in the middle, red mesh submerged in the water to help secure it all. Voila! She laughed when I said I'd put the 23 remaining together myself at home and to just charge for the flowers, and had her daughter follow me to my house, pick up the bowls for me, complete them all within 2 hours AND drop them at the venue... all within my original budget. That is unreal customer service that has kept me a loyal client!!
The first time I walked into this establishment, I was greeted by a wonderful woman, smiling as she promptly greeted me. Anything was possible; she offered to create any arrangement for any price, delivered when and where I needed it. Naturally, I was sceptical while appreciative of her willingness. It turned out everything she promised, was executed just as I asked- certainly impressed. Today, I have two arrangements in my home, and one arrangement for my friends birthday tomorrow, from TFD.
Their passion and technique have been consistent and I have referred many friends and family to them ever since, all gracious for the referral with wonderful feedback to boot.
For my personal selection, I walk over to a warm welcome and a smiling face. Everyone here is knowledgable and passionate, regardless of what you're spending.
Being a fashion- lover, I appreciate how technical they are about the colours and style of flowers I take home, this is a seasonal gig!!!
They truly put effort and much consideration into the arrangements they create. For funerals especially, my flowers always stand out and look MUCH bigger than what I expected (paid for)...
Italians: the bigger the flowers, the more you care.
