I'll start by saying this is a steep trail that I would consider hard rather than moderate thus 4 instead of 5 stars. The gravel coming down creates a slip-and-slide effect in several places. Wear hiking boots. Poles would be beneficial. It's a beautiful trail with amazing views of the valley. My granddaughters (21 & 22) and I had a blast creating fun family vacation memories while huffing-and-puffing! FUN!!
Note: Not recommended if you have any fear of heights. Coming down is wide open to the edges of the trail and expansive views.
