Came in here for an early lunch on a Monday morning because the wife had a craving for tiramisu. I thought the place seemed oddly familiar - 3 years ago when I came out this way it was a dark and dingy pizza joint and now it's a bright and beautiful Italian restaurant.
We were very quickly seated and greeted with a warm welcome. There were two servers working at the time and they were very polite and attentive.
We ordered ravioli, a pasta with bolognese sauce and a pizza for my 2 year old. The ravioli and pasta flavors were amazing, you could definitely tell they were freshly made. As a precaution though, their sauces seem to be a little heavier on the wine content than most other places (but I didn't mind!) The pizza we got for the kid was HUGE for a kids meal, and was oddly topped with a handful of fries - which was a little weird.
Oh, we also had the calamari appetizer - the portion size was great and it was fried to perfection (with clean oil) and served with a slightly tangy but light marinara sauce. I don't normally like marinara because it's so thick and chunky at most places, but I feel they really perfected it for this appetizer by keeping it on the lighter side.
You could really tell that this place pays close attention to detail - from the homemade croutons, to the amazing olive oil dipping sauce for the bread, all the way to the completely spot free glasses they pour your drink in. This was a truly wonderful casual lunch experience. I hope their dinner service is equally as good because I want to go back and try the seafood linguine!
In summary, it's a wonderful local Italian restaurant that really hits the spot. Keep up the good work!
