  • Not a big fan of the rampant smoking everywhere and the loud families smoking in the quiet pool, but the pools were gorgeous. The room left much to be desired, they were brightly painted but slightly run down feeling, stains on the bed frame and walls, and the mini fridge didn't work. The staff was very friendly, and although we didn't get a chance to borrow a bike, I loved the concept and the dispenser of cucumber water at the lobby was a nice touch . Of course the one block walk to shopping was a big plus. The biggest plus was that we stayed free as part of an event package we had purchased, otherwise I would have not been as impressed. The spa staff was friendly, the services were inexpensive for being on holiday but the quality of services was so-so - I had a massage with an add on service and a facial - they fit me in last minute, but possibly the staff was overworked because I didn't really feel much better after either. There wasn't too hard of a hard sale on products, though they had some waiting at checkout for me. The loud thumping of music was the only serious negative, it was every night, almost all night from the hotel bar.
