| - Stayed here for my birthday weekend with my 2 sisters and 1 sister in law.
PROS
Staff were very friendly and helpful, always smiling.
When we got to the room they had a piece of their signature chocolate cake on a plate saying Happy Birthday, which was a nice touch.
The view from our room was awesome, facing the CN Tower, but we could get that same view at any other surrounding hotel for a fraction of the price.
CONS
The room size was standard, in fact I've stayed at average hotels with bigger rooms. The bathroom situation was a little awkward because the shower had glass doors, but then the toilet door was frosted. So if someone wanted to use the toilet while the shower was occupied, you really couldn't because you'd have to walk in and see the person in the shower in order to get to the toilet. None of the door had locks on them either.
We all had a good night's sleep, the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The towels, however, were VERY hard and rough. I'm at the Ritz, I expect soft, luxurious towels that make me want to cuddle in.
The shower had no pressure at all, and it took forever to wash the shampoo out.
Overall, the Ritz was very underwhelming. I guess I just expected more, since it was my first time every staying here.
I probably won't ever stay here again, but at least I experienced it one time in my life.
