  • This place was recommended to me by one of my mechanics that I use first of all. They where polite during my first time that I have to give to them. They recommended me adding the synthetic oil and I also added a transmission cooler all done by them. They gave me 18,000 miles or 18 months. 6 months more than my other transmission shop. Everything was good until maybe a year after that a began to feel a little harder shifting but not all the time. It was not that often so I didn't think much of it. (MY BIGGEST MISTAKE). Well, I finally decided to take it in when problem started getting worse and I new I was getting close to my 18 months. Well I tell them it was acting up shifting hard around 50-70 miles an hour. They took it for a drive and he came back and said he couldn't find anything wrong with it. So I told him well I know it's not right and my warranty is just about out. He told me don't worry, we won't do you wrong like that. Ok, that next Saturday I lost 3&4th gear on the highway on our way to a family trip. So that Monday I took it back and told them my tranny broke down. They told my I was still within my 18 months but I was over on miles between 5,000-6,000. (An oil change). He made sure to point that out as soon as I got there. But he said he would help me out. Now originally those where the same gears that had gone out in the first place. And now 23,000-24,000 miles my transmission goes out again.!!! He said when they rebuild their transmission they replace the parts they feel are needed and major parts( the more expensive I would think they salvage). And that's fine with me, but my problem is that if a part that didn't get replaced cause them same gear to go out again. Them that is a bad on their behalf, not the customers. I payed them after everything was said and done over $2,000. Now to fix them problem(AGAIN) they want to charge me another $900.00. ? That would be a total of more than $3,000 in a year and a half. I checked out the price on a local GM dealership and they quoted me a price of $1,800 with a $350 core charge. 3 year warranty and a 100,000 mile warranty. If I could go back this is what I would do. This is well worth the extra money. Because it your transmission goes out 19,000 miles your out of luck. At least that's what they basically told me. Or pay $900.00 more for another 18,000 miles. But that is still 64,000 miles les than a dealership tranny. P.S. The second time they checked it for me they took it for a spin and came back to tell me he could feel anything. I asked him if he took it between 50-70 miles and he told me "nobody told me that". As a professional, wouldn't you check all the gears?? At different speeds. ? I know I would. I think they dropped the ball on this one and I have to eat it. NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND ANYONE HERE! And that's too bad because the best advertisement is word of mouth.
