I attended the Arctic Monkeys with White Denim concert at Stage AE's outdoor venue yesterday and was very annoyed about the time in which it took for them to open the gates. The concert was supposed to start at 6:30 and they didn't let us in until 6:40 and by the time the security checked everyone and we all payed for overpriced food/drinks, the opening act, White Denim, didn't start playing until 7:10! It was a humid night with a high of 90 degrees with little to no wind and there were no vending machines or workers selling water for everyone waiting outside. Once we were finally let in, I enjoyed how spacious the venue was and the efficiency of the concession stands that also included beer. The sound quality was perfect, the lights were minimum, but very appealing for someone who would rather focus on the music like myself. I loved the jets of cool water that sprayed the crowd. It was the best concert I've ever gone to based on performances of the acts, but I gave this venue 4 stars for it's lateness, littering, and lack of efficient means for customers outside in hot weather. I would suggest you go to a concert at Stage AE in the spring/fall.
