I recently received horrendous customer service following an awful performance at the Phoenix Theatre. I attended the Jazz Cabaret just before Christmas, hoping for a nice evening. The performance was terrible; the singer could not even sing the most basic Christmas songs correctly. I have never asked for a refund for a performance in my life; I am pretty easy to entertain. But for $50 a ticket, I expected something far better. I spoke with the concierge and a manager at intermission who both agreed that the performance was bad. The manager took my information and promised me a refund, and I left. Now, the theatre says it "doesn't do refunds" and will only give me tickets to a piano performance, which takes place after I leave AZ (I do not live here anymore - just in town for the holidays). They refuse to let me choose a performance when I'm back in town next year; I can only have tickets for the specific performance they chose. They don't care that I am unable to attend. My family and I will never support this theatre again.
