| - Came on a Saturday night around 9:30pm, line was out the door and plenty of people were sitting inside waiting for their number to be called. I expected this to some extent based on the stories from the Glendale location, but it felt truly hectic inside. It took about 40 minutes altogether from the time we stood in line to when we got our order, which is not actually too bad considering the sheer number of people inside.
Our party got a couple things - the stuff that I had included the Strawberry Limeade with crystal boba, the salt and pepper popcorn chicken with cajun fries, and the chilotes with hot Cheetos elotes. The strawberry limeade was really good, it had great tartness (I love tart drinks) and a lot of strawberry chunks in it. The boba was mediocre, I wouldn't get it next time. I was not a fan of the chicharrones or the hot Cheetos elotes, although my wife loved them. They had a really strong cheese funk that just put me off. The popcorn chicken and the cajun fries were really good though, I'd come back for those and the limeade alone.
I'd probably come back if I was at Tempe Marketplace already and the line was reasonable, whether to try new drinks or get the popcorn chicken.
Although they advertise both on Yelp and on their menu (online and in-store) that you get a free topping with your drink if you check in on Yelp, the worker told us that this was a grand opening promotion only. If that's the case, I suggest removing that from the Yelp page as well as the menus. Not a huge deal since it's only 50c, but seems misleading and just added a bit of annoyance to the mix when we already had waited so long and knew what we wanted.
