| - Don't let the name fool you. Mike's is not just a tire shop, although they do a great job with tires. I am in the process of getting my '98 Nissan Pathfinder ready for my soon-to-be 16 year old son to drive as his first car. It needed new tires and, I thought, brakes. I usually do my own brakes, but this time I thought I would have the folks at Mike's check them since they were grabbing and I thought the rotors needed to be turned or replaced. To my surprise, all that was needed was to have the rear drums cleaned and adjusted, which was a small fraction of what I thought I was going to have to pay. Most shops would have gladly replaced the brakes at my request, whether they needed to be replaced or not. They went through all of the mechanical systems on the old Pathfinder to make sure it was going to be a safe car for my son, and found things that I knew needed work (belts, struts) and gave me a very fair price. I was going to wait and shop around, but they were so good to work with up to this point I had them fix everything. The folks at Mike's are really, really honest, and they do great work that they stand behind. I'll be bringing all of my cars to Mike's from now on.
