  • I just had to let others know about my experience so they don't waste their time here. Katie at Diviniti cut my teenaged son's hair a few months ago. I waited in the next chair (the whole place was empty) and it took about 30 minutes. All in all a decent job. Then, we went back a couple months later. I had to run a errand across the parking lot and left him with her to get his hair cut, thinking I probably had a half hour or so before he was done, given the experience the previous time. He called me literally 8 minutes later stating he was finished. I know this because I checked my phone before I left to make sure I didn't take too long. When I got there I had to have her summoned from the back room to clean up the curly fuzz on his neck and do some overall touch-ups. Needless to say, I will not be taking him there again. Just because someone isn't watching does it make it okay to do a shoddy half-assed job on a 14 year-old boy's hair? Patronizing and lazy, IMHO. Intolerable. Oh, and the first time we went there I bought a $25 bottle of hair product that my son literally used once and decided he didn't like and hasn't used since. I called the salon a couple days later to see if they would let me exchange it for some Aveda product for myself and they said no. They could have used it as product for clients and let me get some shampoo. Is that asking too much? If I could give zero stars I would. You people need to get a clue. Looking back it may have been a red flag that not one person came in or left the salon either time I was there. Not so surprising now. BEWARE. One other thing: well, two actually. He was covered in hair all over his neck, shirt, shoulders, etc. I asked Katy is she could rinse him off really quick bc he had just showered and she just smirked and didn't do it. Finally, all this star treatment for only $25! Had I taken him to Sports Clips or the like he would have been treated like a King with a hot steaming towel / facial moisturizer, shampoo, head massage and a decent cut for that fee. Ridiculous Katie. Seriously. Embarrassing, to say the least.
