  • Friendly Taxi Cab Drivers? SAY WHAAAAAAT?!?!? Normally the word "friendly" wouldn't even go in the same sentence as taxi cab drivers, but Desert Cab, Inc proved me WRONG! During our stay in Vegas on Friday, December 10th through Sunday, December 12th, we used Desert Cab, Inc 5 times to get to and from the Strip to Chinatown, so we can nurse our hangover with REAL Asian food, as well as, salvage our poor feet from our stilettos with Chinese Foot Massages. Each time I called Desert Cab, the dispatcher immediately picked up my call and gave me an ETA of 10-15 minutes which was always spot on. They will ask for a major cross street so make sure to check the signs before calling. HOWEVER, on 2 occasions the cross streets weren't visible from afar (being nearly blind doesn't help either) and the dispatcher was nice enough to help me google the cross street(s). When the taxi cab driver was 2-3 minutes away, they personally called me to let me know where they were and that they would be there shortly. SERIOUSLY, who does that??? All the taxi cab drivers who picked us up were amiable and actually took the effort to strike up a friendly convo. They drove "professionally and safely", not like other taxi cabs I've been in where I literally felt like I was riding a mechanical bull, being thrown from one end of the cab to another. Being a taxi cab driver in Vegas is NOT an easy job especially when having to deal with horrid traffic on the strip and rowdy drunktards in your cab. So, I believe in giving credit when it's warranted and Desert Cab, Inc definitely deserves 5 STARS for their pleasant dispatchers, friendly drivers and for its on-time performance!
