After going to the same stylist at 8 since it opened ( I actually followed her to 8 from another salon) I will not be going back. I broke my back 2 weeks before my appointment. I called to let them know I would not be able to sit in the chair to have my hair washed and I would wash it at home. Wearing my back brace I walked in and put on a smock. I could not reach the ties in the back so asked the owner (who has never spoken or acknowledged me in all the years I have been a client in his salon) to help me reach the ties. He never said a word, handed me the tie and kept right on walking. When my stylist arrived it was obvious no one had shared with her that I broke my back and would not be having my hair washed there. She cut my hair. When it was time to checkout I asked how much I owed since I was unable to have it washed. My stylist didn't know and left me with the receptionist. The receptionist didn't know and disappeared to find out. I assumed she went to ask the owner. The receptionist returned and informed me....we do not give discounts and it takes the same amount of time either way. I was not seeking a discount. I was asking how much I was to pay for services that were provided. At that point I decided I would rather find a salon that cares more about their clients individually than making sure they receive full price even when full services are not provided. I wrote my stylist a letter letting her know why I would not be returning to 8 after being with her for 7 years. I never received a reply.
