I've been around. I've seen a lot. It's not often I'm aghast when I vist a place for the first time.
This place is stunning.
Even the valet driveway sparkles. The Lobby looks like a high-tech glam music video with it's computerized plasma screen pillars that has ever changing artwork. The five story chandelier dripping with crystal with a lounge/bar inside of it was where I spent half my Vegas money.
I was fortunate enough to discover a free wine tasting that takes place every Saturday afternoon we met the hotel sommelier. Before leaving I asked if there was anything else we should see and he insisted "before you leave you MUST go see the pool.
The Pool? It was January! I wasn't in a pool state of mind. I'm so glad we went. The pool is amazing and in the summer months I can only imagine that this will THE place to be seen on the strip.
The Boulevard pool over looks the strip. Most of the expansive pool is about 2 feet deep and furnished with loungers in the water. There is a bar of course and a play area equipped with ping pong tables, pool tables and pinball machines. The covered patio area has a wall of flat screens where you can lounge on a squishy soft sofa and recline while watching the game. It definitely has a pool party atmosphere...but if you want to relax...go up to the 14th floor on the west tower where the Bamboo pool is. It's quiet, zen, just as beautiful and you can hear yourself think.
Before you leave register for a free players card called Identity. It's not just for gamblers. Every single dollar you spend at the hotel whether it's for the spa, food, drinks, gaming or anything else goes towards rewards.
Oh and since this place is still brand new the spa is only $24 for admission until April. Hurry, get to the Cosmopolitan!!!
