  • My sister is currently being evaluated, and will probably go on to be treated by the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Phoenix (Goodyear). Granted, we've just started this journey, but I must say, EVERYONE we've met with or spoken to has been very kind and caring. They are very open to discussing all options, making sure the patient and their support system are very well informed every step of the way. They answer all questions and concerns in easy to understand terms, then they follow the patient's wishes on how to proceed. They flew my sister and her helper to their facility at no cost to them, put my sister and her helper up in a hotel room for a very minimal charge, and will fly her back and forth for as many treatment sessions as she may need. Like Neal S said in his review, from day one at CTCA we knew that we have never been in a medical facility like this one. It's a place that makes you feel like an important guest, not at all like a patient. Someone greeted us in the foyer, helped get her signed in and then we were provided with a schedule for the next several days and a binder / attaché case to help organize all of the materials she would be receiving during the evaluation / testing period. Mostly my sister remained in one comfortable room while the various doctors and staff members came to her, rather than her having to go from one office to another. They have a wonderful cafeteria ... the food is delicious, and everything is organically grown in their own fields. We're so thankful that CTCA is able to see and help her because they do accept her insurance. IMPORTANT: They cannot accept Medicare or the supplemental coverage. And there are other insurance plans they cannot accept. But there are many plans they CAN accept, so YOU SHOULD ASK THEM. I hope you and your loved ones don't ever have to deal with cancer, but if you do, I STRONGLY recommend that you contact CTCA FIRST, and see if you would be a candidate for their services. I know that's what I would do.
