I'll start with the pros: The location is good, the room is fine, and they have food and a bar, so it's got all the basics I need to be happy. The price I got was very reasonable for a downtown hotel, and perhaps that accounts for the cons.
The cons: There are three elevators to the floor my room is on. Two of them seem to be broken or diverted only to parking at any given moment. And this is a BUSY hotel. Every elevator is packed and takes forever. The layout of the lobby is mazelike and confusing. The pub was closed at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. There is nowhere near enough front desk staff to deal with the volume of visitors. There's no coffeemaker in the rooms--just a kettle and instant coffee.
I stayed here years ago, when it was owned by a different company, and I don't recall having anything bad to say about it. I'm disappointed this time, and bummed that I booked it for an entire week. You get what you pay for.
