I'm in Charlotte for spring break in search of famed southern cuisine. I decided to try this place given its proximity to my current location and prior Yelp reviews. I'm deeply disappointed my fellow Yelpers. Before I complain I will begin with my list of Pros (short list):
1. The server was efficient yet aloof.
2. The food was served in record time (by dine-in restaurant standards-7 minutes.
3. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.
While all of the aforementioned are integral to a good dining experience I think most would agree that the food should top the list. Not so much here.
I ordered the barbeque ribs based on the server's recommendation. Bad idea. For essentially $15 (including tax) you are given one rib cut into five pieces. The rib (s) were overcooked in some places, comprised of fat and gristle, and were both and tasteless. The side dishes followed suit. It was a very disappointing $45 lunch that I traveled 3000 miles to eat.
