  • I had Safe Home Security of the Carolina's located on Latrobe Drive in Charlotte, NC. install a system in my house. Never a late payment. I even called and had my other home set up. By that time, Safe Home Security began operating under a different name, Security Force out of Raleigh. I had a three year contract with them as well. In 2007 I decided to cancel my first home, after my 3 years was up. I mailed my letter to the address on my contract to the Latrobe drive address 60 days before my contract ended per the terms. They CLOSED the office they used to have at the address and it took the post office and the mail carrier took two weeks to return my letter. I mailed it to the address on the top of my CONTRACT. Nothing but scare tactics and constant phone calls begging me back. They turned me into the credit reporting agencies and thought that was going to get me to pay them for another three years. Even the attorney general in their home state of CT has deemed their tactics unconstitutional they continue to prey on and extort people. I finally called them up and told them I had my number changed and I wanted to be sure they had it, so I could get it changed to some random number I made up so they would quit calling me.
