| - Had such a horrible experience that I'm doing a Yelp review...ON A CLUB.
Since the relocation, because it's now in The Cromwell, it's become the "it spot" because it's pretty much the only club to go to after any of the "regular clubs" are closed.
We went to Vegas the last week of July for my boyfriend's birthday, which wasn't a holiday specific weekend.
After clubbing at Hakkasan we decided to go to this After Hours location because we wanted to see how good it was. When we arrived at the hotel and walked to the location of where the line started..IT WAS PACKED, and very unorganized. My friend's did not want to wait so they "speed passed" through the line which was in my personal experience SUPER expensive for 10 people, let's just say it was more than one bill. Then when we "speed passed" through the line we still had to pay for the cover. The girls were free, but the guys had to pay $30 each...ok fine.
The part that really upset me was when we tried to get into the hip-hop room they would not let us in. We did not understand why and when my friend gave the bouncer some cash he only let him and then the girls in my group go through and not everyone else, meaning my boyfriend and our other 5 guy friends were still behind the rope! We ended up leaving the club because that place is a complete bust! We found out later that in order to get into the hip-hop room you basically have to buy at table, which I think is lame because they're trying to just make more money off people. Tables are priced in the thousands, why should you have to pay more just to dance in a certain room?!
My group said that the old Drai's After Hours was better because the club was more laid back, but now it just sucks and all they care about it profit. I have never been to the old one, but I definitely won't be coming back to their new one.
SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
