  • Dealathons sells counterfeit products, at least this is my opinion from the Clarisonic face massage my wife bought. We made a video on YouTube to show the unboxing, and we found that the serial number is invalid according to Clarisonic's official website. Dealathons says they have a 14-day refund policy, but they say it starts on the day we purchased the order, not on the day we received the order. We received it after 12 days of ordering because Dealathons delayed the shipping. By the time it got to them, it had already passed 14 days. But according to all reputable companies (like Apple, Amazon, Chapters etc.) the refund time period/ frame begins on the day an item is actually delivered. According to the law, advertising "14-day Refund Policy" is ambiguous and deceptive if the day begins counting after ordering not after receiving. The law favors the defending party when rules are not clearly defined (this is what I learned in law school). Right now, Mastercard is not helpful in the application of a chargeback, even though the product has been shipped back to Dealathons. Dealathons is offering only store credit, and Mastercard says that a refund is the same as a store credit. I do not want to accept a store credit because I'm lawfully entitled to a refund. For the past 2 weeks, Dealathons just emails me the same message (cut and paste) saying that they are only offering a store credit. I have to deal with them for the next 30 days until the bank can escalate the dispute to senior management level. Save yourself the headache! Avoid Dealathons. For now, I'm just exhausting their human resources for a mere $89 dollar dispute. http://www.complaintsboard.com/byurl/dealathons.com.html http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.dealathons.com http://www.scambook.com/company/view/81627/Dealathonscom UPDATE: After some back-and-forth with BMO Mastercard, I finally received a refund. Make sure to keep all documents and email records ;)
