| - Looking for somewhere to have our anniversary dinner in Vegas, I wanted to avoid the usual suspects. After extensive research, I decided The Barrymore fit what I was looking for. To my surprise it was only 10 minutes away from our hotel. Driving through the street, I immediately spot the sign out front, illuminating with a fire that matches my hunger.
We walk in, our host greats us and we are seated. We check in and our waiter is more than happy to bring us our free wine. We know just what we want, filet mignon for her and rib eye for me. Both steaks are perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful and are slightly bigger than you usually find at a nice steakhouse. The mashed potatoes were amazingly creamy. The complementary bread was almost as good as the steak, I had to stop myself from eating any more of the pretzel bread.
I'm somewhat of a newcomer to the steakhouse scene, but after having dined at some pretty fancy steakhouses in Chicago and Los Angeles, The Barrymore will still be one of my favorites.
