| - How have I not reviewed Moira? I couldn't possibly blog about Moira without linking to my soon to be Yelp review of Moira. Yes it's in a convenient location for me and a number of other Yelpers, but what is the point of saying that when a hefty chunk of patrons are going to be visitors from the 'burbs and Scottsdale and the like? Well they should all have a pleasant experience here, or they're just too damn picky! It's CenPho for goodness' sake!
Speaking of which, SAKE. $7 for a piping hot thingy of sake and a biiiig bottle of frosty Sapporo- That's how I like to start my Friday or Saturday night. Or if I'm in the mood for something sweet, the creative cocktails are a juicy alternative. Do it right, at reverse happy hour.
Ok I've spent 20 minutes rambling about drinks and the reason is that I have only really tried about 4 items on the menu. This is because I am a plant-eater and this is because I really enjoy those 4 items! They are the seaweed salad, miso soup, fried tofu, and veggie roll- in that order, according to my tummy.
Oh and I'll put my two-cents in about the vibe for the malcontents on here. It's hard to have much of a vibe at 5 o'clock on a Thursday when you are a restaurant that is located on a side street, off of a side street, somewhere between Roosevelt Row and the Arizona Center and you pretty much have to know the area to even know where THOSE places are. Whether it's on the slow side or hoppin', Moira definitely keeps it as cool as their indie tunes, blue lights and Buddhas... and the friendly staff can roll with with it- as should you!
