| - I think I'm a little spoiled after living on the west coast too long, so my review might be a little biased. With that being said, I've definitely been to better Whole Food markets. You'll get all the basic supplies at this market: fresh produce, Braggs products, supplements. However; with a much smaller selection. I think the main issue is it seems like many products might not test well in this area. We often (as Vegans) find great products there one week, but they are gone the next.
The population of Charlotte seems to be obsessed with the "gluten free" lifestyle. Whole Foods markets to their consumers. This means there is a wide selection of Gluten Free products, while other dietary prefrences are not equally displayed. I'm used to seeing a plethora of desserts, delicious breads, and any veg meat you could want. However; with all the gluten, I'm sure it doesn't test well in this market.
On top of the lack of variety, their hot bar is also subpar. All vegan options are terribly bland. No wonder people around here don't care for vegan food -- I wouldn't either if the hot bar is what I was basing a diet on. Very bland, poor choices, and often cold.
If you are living the typical gluten free lifestyle found in these parts, this store is for you. However; as a vegan/vegetarian, I would recommend going to the Charlotte Whole Foods. They have a much better variety, and more options in general.
