I really didn't have that much of an issue with the place. It was in a really nice spot and it wasn't that bad. We arrived at the address two hours later then our original check in time (whoops! In hindsight a side trip to Hamilton was a bad plan!) Then found out we were staying somewhere else. My companion and I were kind of sketched out at this point. So we were shuttled via a minivan to another place on Dundas West, essentially at the point between Kensington Market and Chinatown. Then the guy that shuttled us over waited then led us to my friend's car and told us where we could park overnight. The room we stayed in was sufficiently clean and prepared with clean linens. We paid for a double bed and shared bathroom but got a double bunk bed and en-suite. Granted the bathroom was a toilet and shower in the room with a shower curtain separating the two but hey, for the price we paid it was great!! There was no curfew and everyone was really nice and helpful. The location was great! It didn't smell and it appeared to be a proper hostel. Its only downfall was that the people running it didn't have the best English in the world. But they tried their best and were very hospitable! Plus the beds were reminiscent of marble. Also, the toilet was messed up. You had to wait in between toilet uses in order for the tank thingy to fill. It's not great if you're really really picky but if you just need a place to sleep and shower at a great place/location, then give it a try!!
