  • My father was an architect. I grew up being aware of design, both interior and exterior, and of famous architects and architecture. Even lived in a Mies Van Der Rohe designed community in Detroit... So, it had ALWAYS been on my list of places to stay if I travelled to Phoenix... I absolutely loved staying here. My room was huge. mid-century... great design... great textures and fabrics and bathroom big enough to hold a yoga class in... However if I was to stay again I would definitely spring for one of the cottages. What they have done with sculptured concrete block and geometric stained glass resonated with me on a deep level. Tip of the hat to you, Dad, for giving me love and appreciation of the finer things.
