| - Booked this hotel based on Yelp! reviews. Tried keeping an open mind as their prices were pretty reasonable for the season.
When we arrived, the lady at the front desk was pleasant, the warm cookies were a plus. Check-in was quick and the experience was great.
Now, getting into the room, this is when things start get a bit gloom. You have to drive to where your room is, if you're lucky, you might get parking close by. Once we finally got into the room, upon opening the door, we were greeted with that OLD ROOM smell, which appears to have been baked in to the carpet and furniture. The room was huge but dirty, I had my two year old wear socks and within a few hours, the socks were filthy from running around in the room. Overall, still not too bad, until we had to sleep. Our room was facing the street (Scottsdale), the windows were so thin that we could hear each and every single car that would pass by, needless to say, we did not sleep well.
Next day, we checked out of the hotel where we were supposed to be at for another 5 days and moved to the Hyatt.
Three stars for the staff and how close it was to the shopping center and Old Scottsdale.
