My favourite holiday is Christmas so I always enjoy going to the Toronto Christmas Market every year. You can do your early Christmas gift shopping here as they have unique Christmas gifts for everyone on your list. Be prepared to have your pocket lighter though as everything here is on the pricey side.
This used to be a 'free entrance' event but
you now have to pay $6 to get in. If you want to avoid paying the entrance fee come on a weekday, Tue - Thursday and before 5 pm on Fridays as it's free. Parking will also cost you a hefty $15 so public transportation is still your best and cheap way of getting here.
They have also set up a lot of instagrammable locations like the giant heart with mistletoe hanging above it and the pink Christmas trees perfect for selfies and snapchats. New for this year is a 100 foot light tunnel that's so amazing to look at and take pictures.
Kids and adults alike will also enjoy the Merry-Go-Round and Ferris Wheel and enjoy looking at the tallest Christmas tree.
And for foodies like me, this is food heaven. You can enjoy traditional European street-style food as well as Canadian treat and sip on cold and warm brews on one of the vendor stand. They have everything from German potato pancakes to giant Pretzels to Quebec poutine to Raclettes.
So whether you like Christmas or not, coming to the Toronto Christmas Market you can't help but fall in love with the holiday spirit all over again.
