  • I just was at this Big O tire location to have a flat repaired. If you are a Democrat, Liberal, Progressive, Latino or Black person you may want to choose a different location. The person working the front desk checked me in (May 23,2017, 7am). I do not remember his name. The flat was repaired quickly and for free which is wonderful, but that was ruined by what was irritating conversation and unwise customer service by this employee. I proceeded to the waiting area and was joined by this employee who began, unprompted by me, speaking about his support for Donald Trump. I silently nodded and listened, then he started disparaging Hillary Clinton. I politely said ,well "I voted for Hillary, so we are not going to agree." He then switched to bashing on President Obama. I told him, "I believe Obama was the greatest President in my lifetime." At this point you would think he would realize, this customer has different opinions than I do. He also shared opinions about Black Lives Matter (mockingly imitating a black person being stopped by the police), Immigration, Feminists, which as you probably can guess were the opposite of mine. He is allowed to have his own political views and opinions, I know he is not alone in his viewpoints. However is it wise to talk politics with a customer? He has a good chance to agitate many customers who are of opposite political beliefs. I encourage you to advise him on all the aspects of customer service (aka Don't talk politics). I wanted to try an alternative to Discount Tire, since they openly supported Sheriff Arpaio in the last election. As for me I will not go back to this Big O Tire location.
