| - The emergency services at this facility are sub-par, to say the least. Waited DAYS for a room after admission. The place was so unsanitary, I had to remind myself that I was actually in a hospital.
Now, once transferred to a room the quality of care improved tremendously. Dr. Syed Hussain the primary and Dr. Amir Z. Qureshi, infectious disease specialist managed care very professionally. There also were a few notably exceptional nurses. (Kane, Chris and CNA-Gus) But, on balance patient care was average to below average.
Suggestions for staff: when you start your shift, after you get briefed on your patients, come to the patient's room, introduce yourself and see if they are comfortable. Oh, and basic common courtesy goes a long way; speak to family members in the room, don't just ignore them!
The room was comfortable, however, it was really never cleaned. Linens were never changed. Floors were never mopped. The irony; they kept insisting visitors wear masks and gowns. Ha!
Lastly, stay away from their emergency room, if at all possible!
**Tip: Others have advised going to University Medical Center.
