  • WARNING: Be careful when applying for this place. Staff is very FAKE!!! If I could give zero stars I would. A beautiful property but VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. Applied with understanding from both parties that I have poor credit. They had me write out a check for BOTH application fee & hold fee(on the same check). I asked before I left that if I couldnt get approved what do I do? Cynthia said to just bring a check in for app fee$40 and she would return the other check. That was an outright lie! Not only did no one bother calling me back with the info but they put the check immediately into the bank for deposit so they could get their commission. Im not upset about not being approved as I got approved down the road. Im upset at being lied to. They had no intention of holding the check so I could replace it. When I called back because they couldnt be bothered to call as a courtesy, Cynthia was mysteriously not in that day or any other day I called. Furthermore I was told by Brooklyn that I had to let the check go thru the bank and wait 30 days for them to refund my holding deposit since I didnt get the place. I put an IMMEDIATE STOP PAYMENT on the check and contacted the local prosecutor in charge of NSF checks who said that it was ILLEGAL for them to cash a check for good or services that were never provided and furthermore should have not required a check at all for holding deposit until they knew if I was approved or not. I also filed a complaint against them with BBB and am looking for apartment associations to file a complaint also. Now they continue to remain very unprofessional by not returning my calls or check. This company is extremely unprofessional and I cant wait until they try to take the check to collections for goods or services that they never even provided. Prosecutor said I would only be required to pay them $9 since I had to put a stop payment on the check. He also said they would be fined if they are found guilty. Im glad I dodged a bullet by not getting approved here because if they treat their applicants like this its hard telling how they treat their residents. I went down the street to another complex and got approved immediately. They said they would never accept a check for holding until they knew if I was approved or not. They said it is ILLEGAL just like the prosecutor said. So BEWARE of what this apartment complex is trying to pull. They are all nice while trying to get that check but as soon as they have their $$ which isnt even theirs they have no need to return calls or make things right. No way I would ever recommend such a place. Its wrong and its illegal!
