  • My advice to anyone considering this dealership is to DO YOUR HOMEWORK before going there. First, I test drove a Golf S which is the entry level trim. I explained to the salesperson that I wanted a higher trim level, so would have to wait for a used Golf to become available as I didn't want to go up significantly in price. I left the dealership but the salesperson kept in touch and I appreciated the level of service. A few weeks later the clearance of the 2016 models began and I decided to revisit the idea of buying a new 2016 Golf in a higher trim level, the SE. However, I knew that the 2017 Wolfsburg model was just out and was priced lower and had additional features over the prior year's SE model, so the 2016 SE would have to be priced below the new model, or it would not make sense to buy. I test drove the 2016 SE that was on the lot, only to discover that it did not have features listed on www.vw.com, which features, such as brake assist, were also listed for this car on Hendrick's website. I explained that those features would have to be included for me to consider an SE trim 2016 Golf, so the sales manager offered to transfer one in from another store. He presented the numbers on a vehicle for transfer. I saw that the purchase price listed was extremely high, about $5,000 above the 2017 model, and I explained that it was not a wise purchase when I could go and get the 2017 model for less even taking into account the 2016 discount he took off the purchase price. The sales manager told me that no one nearby had the 2017 model, and that any that were available were so full of options as to be extremely expensive. I then told him that I had driven the 2017 model at a competing local dealership, so they are in fact in stock, and not only that, it was priced below what he was trying to charge me for a 2016 model with fewer features. Instead of offering to get me the 2017, he then got defensive and told me it appeared I had already chosen a car, as if I was wasting his time in trying to purchase a 2016 model on his lot at a clearance price. I also noted to him that his offer on my trade-in was $2,500 below what I had been offered at 3 dealerships, including the competition. At that point he walked away. I found the car he offered to transfer online, and it was priced $2,000 or more below what he put down as the purchase price. Of course I have no plans to return to that dealership, but I'm writing this review to warn anyone else who goes there to DO YOUR HOMEWORK. If you don't, you are throwing money away on both your trade and your purchase price. Good luck.
