  • I went with a friend on a Friday for dinner and drinks. They had a live blues band playing at the time. We sat toward the front of the restaurant to be near, and it was super loud. Of course we didn't complain since we wanted to sit there, but others further back did. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and drinks were bad. We ordered fried green tomatoes, frog legs, brisket sliders (on special), and crawfish flatbread. The tomatoes came out first, well before anything else - they were very bland. So about 20-25 minutes later the other appetizers came out with an additional plate of tasteless tomatoes. They advised the additional plate was on the house for the wait. Now for the frog legs... They were prepared differently than describes on the menu. Instead of being breaded, they came out in a broth... This was also very bland. The crawfish flatbread was soggy/slimy, but the brisket sliders were okay. They were dry, but the only decent item that we had. For a Cajun/Creole restaurant, the food was disappointing. The drinks were also very disappointing. We were going to order actual entrees, but given the quality that night - we opted out of that. At least the service was good. The waitress brought us everything we asked for, and came to check on us often. The last time I was at Nola the food was very good, but that was a couple years ago. Not sure what happened, but I won't be visiting Nola again any time soon...
