  • Putti is a high-end home furnishings and accessories store in midtown. It's the kind of store you browse through when want to feel like you belong to the moneyed Rosedale set for half an hour. And it will take you half an hour to get through the store -- there is stuff *everywhere*! They have an amazing selection of candles, framed art, and linens, among other things. The prices were slightly out of reach for me (a $5,000 armoire, anyone?), although they're not catering to my demographic anyway. I found the staff to be extremely rude (well, Ruth "helped" me and she was the rudest of the rude) -- when you walk in the door, don't expect them to say hello, or speak to you in any way. If you really want to splurge on something nice for your home or need a nice gift for someone, it's worth a look...just don't expect to be fawned over from the staff.
