  • Rarely do I review a Costco because they all run pretty much the same. But today in the gas station I encountered two of the rudest employees I have ever encountered at any major store. Trouble with a couple of the gas pumps today and no one would answer to the call button. Had to call the store manager who in turn called the station and told them to go to the pumps. First came a young woman Tammy who was a real smart alec. Then came co-worker Sly who was even ruder to the point that we exchanged compliments about the other's mother in Spanish. Then came the store manager Michael. He listened politely and promised to deal with both their rudeness and their repeated failure to answer the call button. Maybe they are that way because it's hard to get fired there and they know it. But Costco pays well and could find better employees. Other people ahead of me were having trouble with the same pumps. The whole episode consumed 40 minutes and inconvenienced a lot of others as well on a very hot afternoon. Hopefully, they will be demoted to janitorial work if not fired.
