Ok when booking a cabin in the winter up here just keep in kind that the place is old and that it's just simply in the mountains where everything is not as easy as in town so things can go wrong and if you are prepared for it then everything should be ok.
Fortunately during my wife's and I little Christmas get away nothing went wrong and it all went well. We had the best times of our lives. Disconnected from the busy Las Vegas life and in one with the out doors...well sort of.
The cabins is no where near a 5 diamond resort room or anything you would expect in Aspen but it was quaint and perfect. Everything you need to make it feel like the holidays. Our cabin was located right off of the parking lot checked in was a bit late but it didn't matter we were glad to be spending Christmas in the snow.
There was a cute fire place in the middle of the room a nice comfy bed a small space heater for extra heat a cool in room jacuzzi (romantic) a couch a tv with a DVD player and a coffee maker and a microwave. Then their is the back porch which stretch from one end to the other with plenty of room and seating and a view that would put a smile on anyone's face.
We brought our own xmas lights to deck the deck out and was tempted to bring a mini xmas tree but skipped it lots of snack s'mores kit hot coco whip cream pie we even brought our own waffle maker and microwave bacon for breakfast the next morning and lots of candy canes. But don't worry you are 10 feet from the dinner that offers lots of good food and drinks and open pretty late also.
Any how it was super cozy and just what we needed to feel the Christmas spirit. Also when we arrived in the room the hotel leaves you an awesome Christmas gift super cute of them I think give you an extra fuzzy feeling for the holidays! A must try if you haven't really nice getaway and you can enjoy the slopes the next day. Oh yeah they do tell you to leave the faucet dripping over night because the pipes might freeze. We did just that and all was good!
