I've been going here for dry cleaning for the last few years. At some point Palm Cleaners changed their name to go with the other shops they own called Flair Cleaners. The young man who almost always works the counter is always cheerful and nice. I liked that the prices where posted on a large board that was easy to read when I walked in the door.
I came in a few days ago to drop off some clothes and all seemed status quo. When I returned a few days later to pick up my clothes I noticed that the price board was gone, a new look and logo as well as a new uniform shirt. So I asked about it and was told there is a new owner. The prices have gone up with no warning. Even though I dropped of clothes when the old prices were posted, I was charged the new rates. When I asked what the new prices are or if there was a print up I was told by the same young man that had always been pleasant before in a smug way that no I could not see the new prices and that I would have to ask him on each article of clothing. He wasn't even going to mention the change until I asked.
I believe that a shop should always be up front with customers. Had I been told when I dropped off the clothing about the price increase I probably would have said it is fine. Now I am looking for a new place to take my business.
