  • This 13 mile one-way loop offers 19 trails, a couple with its starting points at the south end of the loop, aka, the back end. Trails vary from easy to strenuous. Upon paying for entrance ($7/day/car or $30 annual), the rangers offer a map where the trails and capabilities are labeled. There is a smaller fee for bikes, just check their website. Some of the most breathtaking views are from up top a cliff, thus you must put in the work to get there. The loop is a one-way curvy road with many runners and bikers, so please share the road. There are restrooms (port-a-potty) at the start of most of the trails. The entire park is dog friendly, please pick up after your pet and dispose of properly. When the season permits there is a chance of seeing a small waterfall. Late Fall and Early Spring weather allows for fantastic hiking. During the Summer it gets about 10-15 degrees warmer than in the city so hydrate well. For those wanting to picnic, there are designated picnic tables also labeled on the map.
