  • 3 star for 5 star hotel. My husband and i stayed on a 4th of July weekend so it was busy. We expected that though so it did not bother us. Pros: 1) The hotel is magnificent. We booked a fountain view room so the night view specially is spectacular. The fountain is turned on every 15 mins starting at 3 pm. 2) The room did not disappoint either. It was huge! The king size bed is so gorgeous. There's separate seating area. The drapes are controlled electronically so that's kinda awesome. 3) The bathroom is huge as well. Separate shower n tub. 4) Centrally located. This is both pro & con. You can go to tons of places on foot. 5) Mobile checkin/checkout. I was particularly pleased with this service. I checked us in the night before we travelled to Vegas. Checkin time is 3 pm usually but I got an email saying our room was ready at around 1:30 pm. We then picked up our room keys at the mobile check-in counter. The process took less than 2 mins. 6) Complimentary breakfast buffet for 2. 7) Luxury shopping. Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Bottega and many more luxury brands are within the hotel premises. Very convenient. You dnt have to go out to the heat. Cons: 1) For a 5-star hotel, It was lacking the basics such as toothbrush, slippers, tongs for ice. We stayed at a lot of other 5 star hotel before n we even get sleeping masks sometimes, razor, emergency kit, q tips, etc. 2) Towel is stained with brown. Ewww. Made me wonder if they were changed at all. 3) The room key never worked for getting out of parking. We had to call for assistance every time which is embarrassing because we're holding the line. 4) So-so security. Anyone can use the guest elevators. There's an employee standing near elevators randomly asking for room cards but I see a lot doesn't get checked. Ive been to places where u can't use the elevator without card. It makes me feel unsafe that a non hotel guest could just come knock at my room. 5) Because it was centrally located getting in and out of parking is horrible at certain hours. 6) The door to our room keeps getting stuck. I think they need to upgrade.
