Not impressed. I was extremely excited to come here when I found out they opened. There is nothing like a wax bar close to home!
I called to make an appointment and the girl on the phone was really weird. I had a few questions about the place and she had very little knowledge, and it was uncomfortable speaking with her.
I could also hear someone in the back giving the answers. That person was the owner. So, I ended up speaking with the owner and she assured me that they do NOT double dip.
When I came into the place is seemed clean and that was pleasing. Until....I came into the room and my Brazilian wax began.
The techncianl (Indian and name started with an S) was nice. She said she use to work at Fuzz wax bar, and was a teacher (for waxing and Estheics). I thought that she would be excellent at the wax.
I was wrong. She was slow. It hurt like hell. Then I watched her DOUBLE DIP the stick many times. I wanted to say something but I thought maybe, just maybe the pot was almost empty.
That would explain everything because they would be throwing it out (I use to work at a Spa and when the wax pot was almost finished it was ok to DD because no one would use it after).
NOPE! When she finished and left the room I peeked over and looked at the station. The wax was full. I was disgusted.
I will never come here again, and will never recommend this place.
It's absolutely horrifying that a "teacher", or any Esthetician would ever double dip the stick. They should know that this will cause any bacteria in the pot to MULTIPLE.
Gross.
