This is an update on the previous experience with Mr. Vac and Sew two attempts to fix my machine and told me to find another place to fix it and they will be happy to pay for it. I took it to 35th Avenue and Northern Vac and Sew where Larry had recommended. I picked up my machine at the 35th Ave Store today. The tech had to do the following work (which is what I had already paid Mr. Vac and Sew to do):
Removed bind in upper shaft and put a washer behind the pulley adjacent feeding
Removed thread from behind the hook, buffered the needle plated and hook
Hook was broken so it was replaced
Removed all the thread from the tension
Reset the tension.
The tech told me that the tension was all gummed up and hadn't been addressed and it was pretty bad. The tech added that all that was basically done was that a replacement part was added by Mr. Vac and Sew. He continued to tell me that nothing more was done to it to make it work properly.
My sewing machine works amazing now. There is no noise and it runs really fast like it used to. It's too bad I paid Mr. Larry at Vac and Sew $180 cash for a part that only costs about $35 and labor that consisted of only replacing the part and nothing more.
Although Larry originally told me and my husband on separate occasions that he would pay for the bill if we could get anyone else to fix it, Mr. Vac and Sew has not tried to contact me since the last call to offer the payment as promised. He has not given me any type of refund as of yet. I have receipts to upload but don't know where the upload picture button is.
