| - After dropping off most of my allowance on the Vegas strip, felt it was time to skedaddle before my socks were gone.
As an Amex Cardmember since 1981 (yes I'm young) there have been many perks associated with being a member. However, the Centurion Lounge(s) addition, in my opinion, is one of American Express most outstanding benefits. Never has the slogan "Membership has its privileges" (a term coined ~1987) been more fitting.
As you enter the lair, the reception desk welcomes you, checks you in, and gives you the layout of the land. (You may want to ask for a wifi code at this point) It is an expansive sanctuary containing a tremendous bar (my favorite) a large cafeteria style seating area, or if you prefer a more quiet venue, there are plenty of comfortable cubicles you may descend upon and call your own; if only for the moment of your perch.
The restrooms are extremely clean and showers are available upon request and appointment. (Please make note of the closing hours)
The food was surprising and delicious. A well stocked variety of eats from a simple salad to a full blown meal, along with 2 soups from which to choose. Altogether a very well run lounge. Had the opportunity to meet and congratulate Casey (sic?) the manager, on the great efforts placed on our behalf. He was extremely cordial and gracious. Thank you!
A clean, elegant, comfortable place to avoid the hustle and bustle of the airport if only for a moment in time; that's my cup of tea (with alcohol of course)
