| - My husband and I have been going to this particular restaurant for almost 10 yrs now. The last year or so, we haven't been that happy with their food or service !! So we have been trying some other chinese restaurants in the east valley. And believe it or not there are some very very good ones on this side of the valley.
Today, we were driving by the Great Wall on Higley and decided to give it a chance again.
By that I mean the last 3 or 4 times the food was never HOT, barely warm and not really up to par.
Well, I wish we would of kept on going, I ordered the sweet & sour battered shrimp (the shrimp was very very small, and the batter made it look like it was huge. And the batter was not cooked inside, very raw - like pancake batter), not to good at all !!! I mention this to the waitress who usually acts like she doesn't speak a word of english (esp. with a complaint). She did say oh, yes I have heard this before they didn't fry it long enough and it is undercooked. I'll talk to the owner........hands up in the air..........sorry or as if to say :tough luck".....
The owner or the waitress never came and apologized, or said anything about my concerns.
I wasn't looking for a free meal......but alittle acknowlgment would of been nice.
TOO MANY OTHER GREAT CHINESE OR ASIAN RESTAURANTS OUT THERE, so I'm sure to say this was the last time !! I would patronize sub par food or service again.
